Bombyx mori is the silkworm which lives by eating mulberry leaves. It is the best known silk. It lays more egg in 4 to 6 days and dies after tat. From one ounce of eggs come about 30,000 worms which eat a ton of mulberry leaves and produce twelve pounds of raw silk. Thus the silk fiber is produced .
