Let us see about different types of sleeves we use commonly
Cap sleeve :
A very short sleeve covering only shoulder not extending beyond armpits. It is used in kurti , wedding dress and shirts .
Puff sleeve:
A sleeve gathered at both top and bottom which gives nice look. It is widely used in party wear . Anarkali and kurti uses this type of sleeve widely.
Petal sleeve:
The sleeve shaped and resembles petal at cap of sleeve .

Kimono sleeve:
Kimono sleeve are wide and loose until waist level. It may also have a cut type design.
Bell sleeve :
This sleeve has smooth cap and hemline flaring out like bell .
Bishop sleeve:
The sleeve that hangs gracefully from cap over arms .
Raglan sleeve:
The sleeve that extends from neckline. This type of sleeve is widely seen in t shirts .

Butterfly sleeve:
This type of sleeve starts at shoulder and get wider towards end of sleeve shaping like butterfly. It is widely seen in formal wears.
